This is good news, at least something stated moving towards NTO 2.0 implementation

I think broadcasters now feeling that judgement wont come in their favour

But this is unlikely for most channels. Prices of popular bouquet / a-la-carte (those included in bouquet) will surely undergo changes to comply with NTO 2.0 regulations, current pricing cannot continue for them. They can have niche HD or SD chs at same price point between Rs. 13 to 19 or even higher but same cannot b part of bouquet
Sun TV,Star Plus,Star Ma,Zee Bangla,Color,Sony Sab,Zee Kannada,Asianet,Star Pravah,Star Vijay,Star Jalsa and Tarang TV channels may not reduce their SD channel rates to Rs12 as they all have very good BARC ratings consistently.

TRAI helped Broadcasters from cable TV MSOs by plugging the loophole of under reporting of subscibers through mandating Set-top Box even fo fta subscribers for more channels availability and consequent reduction in carriage fees (since STB can carry more channels)

Even after all this Broadcasters want to dizz TRAI, Will TRAI levy penalty for non implementation of NTO 2 so far (ie for non stay period)?

When NTO was introduced, to facilitate individual channel selection, broadcasters increased price (190% Sun TV from 6 to 19)

there is another model. that new paper module where actuals cost of printing paper is much higher like 40-50 approx
but news paper are soled at very low price so that maximum reach and as many copies printed and soled buy their ad revenue increased

if broadcaster priced their channel at lowered rate more and more subscription and they will be benefited with higher advertisement revenues

why they are not thinking like this not sure

its will be win win for all
