Friends as we know that Amos 4 is going to launch in Aug last at 65*e. It is carrying 8 TPs which has 2 beams one is India & second is Russia. But the question is if two beams will divided India will get 4 TP. 4 TP is not sufficient for any DTH & neither our government permit KU band to broadcast any satellite operator directly to viewers.

Then what is the significance of the Indian beam if anyone gets article regarding this plz share.:huh

Its carrying 4Ka band TPs as well, which ll be most probably on Russia beam... used for military, weather purposes.

But yes, 8 Ku band TPs arent much...lets see how many India beam will get.
Gud thing is, the Russia beam is touching Kashmir @45dbW... so Russian beam can be got from 6 ft dish easily in Delhi region. :ohya

I m not too optimistic abt this sattelite... already a much powerful sat. Eutelsat 70B is sitting idle... then what chance this Amos4 sat. has. :sp

I think Eutelsat 70B is meant for data & broadband services but 3 beams are still vacant.
