I had already stated few days back that this will happen sooner than later. In an age of OTT and keeping view extremely limited audience for thought provoking or alternate cinema , such channels had minimal chance for success or should i say even sustain somehow. Also having just HD feed is a wrong strategy adopted by broadcasters, there r maximum people even in upper middle class or middle class who either don't have HD connection or do not subscribe HD channels on q regular basis, even if they like such cinema they wouldn't be able to access these channels in current scenario.
Still feel that &Prive, Star Gold Select, Nick HD, Cineplex HD and other such channels will end up shutting shop soon. Already SGS HD has ditched Indie Cinema and airing regular bollywood movies. MN+ somehow may sustain as Times Group has focus and stronghold in English Movies, News Genre
