Bro.. forget about Best PQ from Dish TV SD [Not defaming surely or biased ] ..I have used Dish TV from the 1st month of its launch .Now my daughter is using SD.so i can get how the present PQ . , till today only HD Channels r one of the best PQ.. SD no comments ..

HD PQ of dishtv is best in the country because they providing channels in MPEG 4 technology I don't know you remember or not we already have debate in this matter that how MPEG 4 improves the PQ because dishtv is providing best in HD but lagging in 50 % of SD channels because of MPEG 2 but I have no hesitation to raise the issue I always believes to raise the cons better then pros of particular DTH.

AFAIK all DTH is having HD Channels in DVBS2 MPEG4 itself but all have differant PQ /AQ.. so we already discussed so i will finish in this thread discussing about this .

My New Tata(sky HD + Review

Today evening installation guys finished the job.let me put my own views here.

1.Video/Audio

->Video clarity is good in sd channels and excellent in hd channels.But when comparing to airtel ,tatasky video have less sharpness and tint.Airtel has best Video clarity than tata(sky in my view.Technician told me that video clarity will be drastically improved when satellite problem gets over,he added due to compression,the video clarity had been down

Rating:Tatasky-6/10 ,Airtel-8/10

2.UI

->Similar UI b/w airtel and tatasky.But airtel UI seems to be more easier.
Tatasky has more separate sections in guide portion,than airtel.Fav channels is 50 here,that s not available in airtel. however tatasky is good here.

3.Video on Demand/Catchup tv

-->tatasky has more hollywood ,bollywood movie library than airtel.Regional content is far better in airtel.download spped is similar.but surfing is better than airtel.catchuptv is good in tatasky.

4.Installation/Technician

-->Installation took more than 4 hours,since enginner had taken normal box adapter and remote. But perfect installation and professionals thay are,which lags in airtel.

-->technician have superb knowledge over wifi dongle and all tv/stb settings,here airtel lags so far behind.

Rating-Tata(sky-8-2(for that adapter and remote change)->6/10,Airtel-3/10


5.CC

-->No way for airtel,superb response in tatasky.chatted with tatasky executive in evening gives all information properly.

Rating-Tata(sky-9/10 ,Airtel-4/10

6.Universal Remote

-->no way comparable to airtel remote,each time we have to click univ button to change to tv mode,then for normal working again we have to click univ button,disgusting.But Buttons are good in tatasky,working range is good.

7.Hardware/Box Quality

-->No words,Tatasky has superb hardware and box is designed good than airtel.has inbuilt fan too,which is not available in airtel.Box quality is good

Rating-Tata(sky-9.5/10,Airtel-8/110

8.Cables/Dish antenna

-->Same as airtel,nothing big diffrence in it.cable is black one in tatasky,which is white in airtel.sorry guys since i dont know about that detailly i cant give more diffrence

Overall:
-->Tatasky is worth buying.Quality suits here than quantity.
-->Airtel if adds needed hd channels,then it can easly beat down tatasky

Tatasky-8.5/10 Airtel -7.5/10
