According to sources, poor TRP ratings was the reason behind ending the serial. A new show is likely to be aired in place of Marali Bandali Seethe.

Wrong reason for Off Air:
1. It had completed 342 episodes till now
2. The serial rating had increased from 250th episode gradually and was the 2/3rd most watched show in Star suvarna after Muddulaxmi and Premaloka.
3. The Rating for the serial budget was fair enough considering the richness of other serials at same slots.
4. Production house wanted to increase their TRP, so thought of closing at 250th episode and launched Jeeva Hoovagide. But new serial got bad rating than old serial. So they pushed the old serials for few more weeks and TRP was inreasing day by day for MBS. As JH serial kept decreasing day by day, the production house might off aired MBS as it is old and pushing up JH making slot available for channel to air Sangharsha.
