Star India completes its presence in
the four Southern-language markets of India. For
Star, which owns Asianet, Asianet Plus and
Asianet (Malayalam), Suvarna and Suvarna Plus
(Kannada), and Star Vijay (Tamil), Telugu was
the only missing piece.

While Maa TV Network promoters will retain the
company, the four channels operated by the
network namely Maa TV, Maa Movies, Maa Music
and Maa Gold will be transferred to Star.

Shankar said that the company will remain with
the promoters. The broadcast business will move
