Is Arasu good ? Do they give enough channels ? What is the price ?

Arasu gives most of the Pay channels (Total 90 - 100 Channels ) at Rs 70 across TN and yet to be available in Chennai (But LCO's illegally collect Rs 100, users do have an option to pay online).

Yes, Arasu on an Overall is Good and cant be called bad as any subscription lower than Rs 150 with most pay channels is no way a bad one.

Arasu giving pay channels only outside chennai. Arasu too have analog signal inside chennai (with very little subscribers), without any pay channels(at most same channel list of SCV) , subscribers won't have option of buying STB to watch pay channels . LCOs won't able to give cricket channels.

I don't agree..
In kodamkkam, LCO giving Ten cricket, Star sports3, animal planet along with Arasu Analog..
This measure by LCO means that they've lost their subscriber to DTH players and most people not willing to go with SCV..
I support Arasu and this type of LCO.
Instead of blank channels by SCV, 65+ channels by Arasu is far better..
I know this is against TRAI rules, but do SCV follows TRAI rules..?

Good to know the Arasu would be available by Jan 2014.

If Arasu really wants to seriously serve Chennai people then it has to force Chennai LCO's to subscribe to them or form Arasu's own LCO's in every single Area so we people can disconnect from our current LCO's and move towards Arasu well before New Year.

Why should Arasu force LCO's or form its own LCO's? Is LOC's don't have rights to run business and have their own choice to select from whom he should get signal?! Why you want only to Arasu in that business? So you are supporting Monopoly ? If SCV is monopoly , how it is not applicable for Arasu?!

Issue with LCO,

1: Poor quality unless they find a threat to their business.

We weren't able to watch a single Eng channel (given by SCV in good quality) for years and after a part of my area moved to DTH the LCO fixed it, how was he able to fix it now while he earlier replied that he cant do nothing? If SCV has a earned a bad name then the LCO's are at-least 50% responsible for receiving the people wrath.

2: Failure to move to a cheaper MSO.

Why should people stay with the same LCO when other LCO gives the same package at Rs 30 - 50 Less?

3: Struck with Analogue while the entire nation moves to DAS.

4: Failure to address channel missing when MSO removes the channel without a single notice.

5: Promoting Monopoly. Why should the entire city be connected with a single MSO?

When we have alternative MSO's like JAK, TCCL, Arasu what stops these LCO's from moving to another MSO on people demand?

When LCO's don't care about people even a bit why would People care about LCO's??

If Arasu takes over Chennai and if online payment directly to Arasu becomes popular then people would barely meet the LCO (unless for technical support) and LCO's would cease to exist. ---"As you sow, so shall you reap" ---

So , problem is they still stick with SCV?!

1. In analog signal loss is very common, agreed they not worried to correct that. But in DAS it will not occur , but see who is stopping DAS in Chennai?! It is Arasu.

2. LCO's cannot change MSO's just like that because of their investments and advance payments.

3. But is it LCO's who is not ready to move to DAS?! Or is it Arasu ?!

4. How are you saying it will not occur in Arasu? recently Arasu moved Vijay TV to non prime band? How LCO's can be responsible for that?

5. If you are not aware that doesn't mean that you are right there is many LCO's providing signals from TCCL , ACV & JAK...Check the facts...LCO's in Chennai ignoring arasu because they don't know the future of Arasu Cable? If you are a LCO will you be ready to pay 500 per customer for STB to a MSO which don't have DAS license ?
