As we know that Tata Sky is struggling with TP space due to poor management and mpeg2 technology.They wish to convert to mpeg4 as early as possible via replacing all existing mepg2 boxes to mpeg4 new boxes.They might want to do this before August 2012 ie.Activations of G SAT.
They brought amazing offer yesterday to upgrade as well as new purchase of HD/HD plus STB at just half cost.
This is a Marketing Masterstroke.Tata Sky is flooded with requests so they have changed thousands of boxes in one day at customer's cost.I won't be surprised to see this kind of offer coming again in next few days.

That's really good news my 2 tata sky boxes are already mpeg4.Also then we may see more channels and all removed channels will get added again.
