hi guys today i bought my new scaler ring ((ku band)) for 6 feet solid dish i will use this for tracking ku band satellites currenty this scaler ring is under experiment mode

can someone explain whats the very purpose of this ring.. im new to this?
 
thanks bro i will start tracking new birds from monday and post my sat tracking of ku band

It restores the scattered signal coming from the dish and guide into the feed horn .

Above pic shown by Mr .DK is a mount of Ku band LNB and it will attach with the
scalar ring to a parabolic dish to receive ku band signal .
 
rajendrakumar1977 currently i am using this ring for 85*e kontinent tv on my 6 feet solid dish so main reason is to catch 85*E,42*E,21.5*E,53,52.5
 
Most of KU band and LNBF have conical scalar ring attached with LNB ,no need extra
scalar ring .IF we remove front cap of LNB we can see it, i think if we attach big conical scalar
with LNB there may improvement in signal reception .
