Sad News Nat Geo People HD and Nat Geo Music HD will no longer be available from 20th June 2019

Good Move .. So SS1 Marathi Replacing NGP i think on all Operators i.e Star delayed the launch of SS1 Marathi as they were having some distribution issues

Both are having different license permission from MIB Due to Distribution issues they may replace the channels .

This channel is run by Fox Networks Asia not Star India, there was never an Indian version of Nat Geo People. Now they’re removing these Asian versions from this region

This news has really saddened me the most. One of the best channels and instead of improving its distribution they r shutting it down. Already i have hardly subscribed star india channels and this will add to that. In India, we r losing one quality channel after another. Also bringing Star Sports Marathi as replacement is causing even more hurt. Star should at least bring back SD version of this channel.

By the way are they also shutting down Nat Geo Music HD? Please check and confirm. This has lot less viewership than Nat Geo People

Well, Star India had taken over its distribution all over India few years back. It does not matter which company runs it or from where it is being uplinked, all boils down to popularity or TRP as we call it here. There can be an international channel distributed by another company and it is all based on partnership. Australia Network, DW, TV5Monde Asie, France24, Euro News, RT, NHK World, CGTN, Arirang TV, etc. r all having local partners here

I'm so happy after the removal of this useless(for me) channel. Not much ratings. I hope my favorite +1 channels in TataSky remain intact.
