Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned from Rajya Sabha seat just three months after his nomination to the Upper House by the Modi government, will no more appear on silver screen. According to sources, Navjot Singh Sidhu will quit the Kapil Sharma Show very soon. However no formal announcement has been made in this regard, but it is expected that cricketer-turned-politician will leave Kapil Sharma Show in order to become more active in politics.

Navjot Singh Sidhu may start his second political innings joining Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Sources in the AAP said he would join the party soon and may be made the party’s face in the assembly elections next year. AAP is expected to declare Sidhu party’s chief campaigner in the Punjab Assembly elections due next year.

Since Navjot Singh Sidhu is expected to get big responsibilities by AAP in Punjab polls, he may leave the Kapil Sharma Show. Sidhu has been in touch with comedian Kapil Sharma since the days of Laughter Challenge show. Sidhu would feature in Colors’ popular TV show “Comedy Nights with Kapil” with Kapil. When Kapil broke his ties with Colors and started his new show (The Kapil Sharma Show) on Sony channel, Sidhu also shifted with him.

In the July 2nd episode of the Kapil Sharma Show, Sidhu, who is an integral part of the show, made guest appearance with his wife Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu. Sidhu’s laughing style and unique shayari is one of the factors why Kapil Sharma succeeded in making his show super hit on television.
