Good News New on DDF: Push notifications!

Hi friends,

Thought to let you know all, back in past when we had Android and iOS Mobile apps for the forum, we used to send you Push notifications if someone Quotes your post, Likes your post and Replies a thread you are watching. Later with the app discontinuation the feature was dropped.

We are bringing back the Push notification feature again very soon via web browser itself, so you do not need any app support, just give permission on browser and you are good to go! As of now can't say exactly when it will be added, work still under progress.

This is how the settings would be:

As you can see in the picture, you will get be getting full control over which notifications you want to enable and receive and can disable rest of them.

Notifications will be sent to your phone even when DreamDTH site is not opened on your browser and even when browser is closed. Just like happens with apps. So you won't be missing out anything and as soon as post of your interest comes, you will be notified.

Some useful changes to alerts system once it is implemented:

When you now visit content which you have previously been alerted to, the corresponding alert(s) will now be automatically marked as read, so you will not need to reopen alerts and manually mark them as read!
