Deepu bro already confirmed that... The question is when will airtel channels :) there's no point in holding 2 empty tps :)

None of the current tp's r empty bro. They r adding new FTA channels on recently activated 12651 V and shifting old FTA channels too here. Space is being vacated on older transponders for new additions and this new one may also be used for that. All pay channel addition r on hold and will happen shortly.

Good News is that we can safely tell which channels will be added after going thru broadcaster bouquet and channels carried currently or missing from them on airtel platform. For example airtel is already carrying HBO HD hence Cartoon Network HD + is sure to be added to offer subscribers opting to choose applicable HD bouquet. Not doing so will result in subscribers having just option to chose HBO HD as a-la-carte which airtel can't do at any cost, no one will pay such high price for single channel rather than getting host of others in bouquet.

By the way 15% bouquet discount cap rule not getting implemented is resulting in operators being forced to add missing bouquet channels else they would have just signed RIO deal for current or few other new channels. Its blessing in disguise. When this rule comes into effect after few months then operators will find it hard to remove already available channels. Look at independent tv, they r now adding all basic bouquet channels from different broadcasters to continue properly.

As i say nothing is perfect in the world , in all good too there is cause to be sad and in some bad situations too positives come out. TRAI Tariff Order has it's problems but benefits outweigh issues

So is it not they pay for entire tp?

In digital space everything is priced based on bandwidth, for example we pay bandwidth of 100 chs as NCF, we pays ISP bandwidth of 50 Mbps/100 Mbps etc. So i guess instead of hiring whole tp of 54 Mhz/36 Mhz people are free to hire part of full bandwidth available in a tp

All New Interconnection Deals with Star, Zee, Indiacast, Sun Etc... are(must be) renewed by now.

I think Airtel is Planning for LCNs Rearrangement or Waiting for whole TRAI migration process to complete.

Those airtel subscribers feeling bad please look at Tata Sky and see that airtel provided u much cheaper plans for a long period hence give them some more time to satisfy pending needs. If u still feel bad turn 180 degress and look at dish/d2h, u will surely feel much better and in a lot better situation.

Airtel subscribers r midway with high hopes and will be delighted in coming weeks unlike Tata Sky where there r few reasons to rejoice or dish/d2h where there r slimmest hopes to even watch current channels properly let alone getting to see all major SD and HD channels

Yes but for that u need more operators using same satellites or orbits for their services, right now if such policy comes then satellite owner will find no takers for spare bandwidth and hence lose revenue as satellite life goes on unstopped.

TRAI was suggesting transponder sharing and STB inoperability but as usual players in the market r giving excuses some of which are having strong footing while others r more out of fear of reduction in revenue making tactics

In 2017 also new TP was found in mid Feb & by end of February, TP was added in NIT scan with 6 HD channels testing in it & addition was started from first week of March.
Hope this time also same story continues:surprised::surprised:🤞🤞
