NHK Executive. Yes it will be back. Procurement of new TV license takes a few months or years depending on multiple factors. It should be back sometime later this year.

As per one Discord server, the channel is funded by government tourism budget - that might explain why they've started cutting costs and failed to procure licenses among others. Hopefully it'll be back on Indian TV soon.

Hi, I just noticed that the channel #398, which was earlier reserved for NHK World Japan now airs France 24.
Things aren't looking too encouraging for NHK. Or are they? Cuz if the channel is to make a comeback, how will it? The slot has already been allotted to some other channel.?
