No surround sound xstream box

have LG C8 OLED. Purchased airtel xtreme box recently. Airtel DTH is attached to LG TV via HDMI cable. HDMI ARC carries audio from LG TV to Pioneer AVR. I can enjoy 5.1 channel experience when I watch OTT via LG C8 directly or via Fire tv 4k stick. But I am unable to get 5.1 channel audio on airtel DTH OTT (Android interface) as well as airtel cable channels (Star, Sony so on).

I tried connecting xstream box to HDMI port of pioneer AV receiver and connected optical cable from xstream box to Pioneer receiver. But in vain.

Kindly help me getting surround sound through xstream box and clear dialogue through centre speaker.

How to resolve this issue?

Pls share Pioneer avr model
Ideal solution would be stb to avr by hdmi and avr to tv by hdmi.
Switch on first avr then tv and finally power on stb.
Select auto mode in sound option in stb.

Pioneer vsx 933.
Tried connecting STB to AVR via HDMI and AVR to TV Via HDMI ARC. But its not working. There is no 5.1 channel audio

Connection is right if OTT is working. TV and AVR ok.

So problem seems to be in STB. Are you sure you have selected 'Raw HDMI audio' in STB audio settings? If you have selected 'PCM audio', you will not get surround sound.

Where can I find such option in airtel xstream box? I didn't find such option in setting. It has only AUTO option so as to choose original audio format on its own

Just now realized that on xstream box NETFLIX can reproduce 5.1 surround. Netflix clearly shows on title whether it supports 5.1 or not.

But amazon prime can not reproduce 5.1 format on xstream box. I think it's related to android and prime vdo compatibility issues.

BUT I have also observed that Sony liv on xstream could not reproduce 5.1 format, but same movie when played on amazon fire stick could reproduce 5.1 format.

What could be the reason?

Choose 'manual'. Then choose Dolby Digital plus.
