Y can't broadcasters increase ad rates for compensation of less subscription revenue???

TRAI should have added a clause in the order saying HD version of the channels shall be capped at twice of its sd version price considering their own contention of 1HD channel = 2 sd channels and they might have considered a different price cap for sd channels which will be less than 12rs. This would restrict broadcasters from unrealistically pricing niche channels and thereby increasing the bouquet price and also over pricing HD bouquet

What 1 thing TRAI should bring in is to give customers option to pay for annual broadcaster bouquet or DPO bouquet... This way customer directly will b willing to pay in advance to broadcasters and there will no issue of earlier long term deals which operators had and then passed on to customers thus giving due advantage to big players in making profits

Adding to this...such a system would work for middle class onwards who will b willing to pay upfront for discounted annual or semi annual bouquet but for general public broadcasters will have to reduce monthly charges...no escaping from it

Try sending this feedback to TRAI

Who said cable or dth operators cannot give bouquet at low cost, they can give discount on NCF but u r wrong to demand that one operator should get channels at low cost while others at high cost....this was unlevel system earlier. Operators can provide good service, quality and add on svod chs to compete
Yes, TRAI please come to consumer's space and regulate it as well. I want iPhones priced as much as Xiaomi phone. After all both offers almost same features anyway. Who wants innovation and competition?
