I Believe Even Broadcasters Might Aware Of Customers Thought!

Certainly They Will Do Something With Regards To SD & HD

Like No Ads On HD Or Some Premium Contents First On HD (May Be Telecast Early)

I Want You Guys To Share Your Opinions On This
1. Don't remove ads from HD channels. It will be shooting oneself in the foot. If one starts others will be forced to follow. You will need revenue from ads and subscription. As there is limit audience willing to go for HD.

2. Early content is a brilliant concept. Simulcast while charging more doesn't make sense and is discouraging to consumers. Give shows atleast one hour earlier than it's SD counterpart. Someone like Colors can benefit with shows like Big Boss.

Imo_ present Sun channels same movies same adds in SD & HD bro, no difference let's see,
But Zee Cinemalu HD & ETV Cinema HD have different movie schedules when compare with SD feed, I'm talking about Telugu,

Any backup for this data. Or simply throwing numbers like nobody benefitted. Apart from various surveys, even DDF poll in some thread resulted substantial users saving ₹ though channel count reduced. So i expect u shud explain source u quote when you give some figures.
Simply throwing data based on observation.

I partly agree with @iDJ Bro's point regarding comepition... TRAI which is focused some much on broadcasting sector, doesn't even bothers about the fair competition in Telecom sectors which is the verge of becoming a duopoly which isn't a good sign for anyone as Telecom is more basic necessity now a days than Television...

In simple word, no. 99% users didn't benefit.

Yes, I agree.

Now tell me. Did that small operator who doesn't have a decent website offered to set up a proper customer service by charging same as a premium brand?

Cable Operators need to evolve and have not put adequate effort, this is a known thing and now with intense competition will do so....it has nothing to do with TRAI order but yes now there r service quality guidelines which need to b complied with

Let alone unlevel playing field for operators but did big operators pass on benefits to us, Tata Sky provided barely few chs in entry level pack so even then from customer end too it was a loosing case

Coming to constant blackouts which happened bcoz agreement disputes, now all resolved as operators getting chs at equal rates with no need for advance payment. With NTO issue settling even new chs will come across platforms easily

I as a customer will not b happy to pay Rs. 5000 per yr with unwanted chs pushed to me....give us monthly affordable chs with good content and will pay even some premium for it

In Hindi Zee Cinema HD And SD Also Play Different Movies

They adopted simulcast strategy after NTO 1.0 came into effect....i wrote to their hindi movie cluster head and informed that channels can have diff content on both feed and placed in same HD Bouquet thereafter they reverted back

Ads should stay but content strategy should differ, bring in more varied content on HD while SD should cater to mass content....develop separate audience for each and earn both ways. English Entertainment chs did not tap into emerging audience at oppurtune time hence now shutting down. A proper content cost to revenue strategy should b drawn for each channel based on target demographic. Innovation lacking across chs

atleast consumer was getting benefitted a little bit in that era. Countless offers used to come, bundled add-ons were so much beneficial than current bouquets systems etc. Many more examples like getting full HD Add-on with 40 odd channels at 220 was a steal... With whoever I spoke has either moved to Tatasky or dropped STBs in the naala
