I believe there was no discount capping of 33% in NTO 1.0. The proposed NTO 2.0 had a cap of 33% and that is amended to make 45% now.

Simple, price bundling marketing is very common. Make customers buy the bundle instead of individual items to sell everything the sellers intend and make the customers feel something is saved at the same time but actually nothing.

IMO, the discount capping should be maximum 20% for a better impact of NTO.

No. NTO 1.0 had discount capping of 33% on bouquet pricing, now it has been increased to 45%.

I know bundling of things happens in every industry, All i am saying is that discount on bouquet should not be so high that there r no benefits left for opting standalone channels

For ROI Sony, Zee TV prices are reduced from Rs23-30 level to Rs 19 is a great relief to North Indians

That Rs. 23 pricing never got come into effect as it was part of NTO 2.0 RIO which was to be implemented later on but as amendments were brought in NTO 2.0 hence now revised version of RIO have been brought in.

You need to compare latest NTO 2.0 RIO pricing to current pricing listed under NTO 1.0 to know about changes in pricing

Those are non flagship/prime channels of networks, so consumers may opt boutiques instead of secondary channels individually.

Even for many flagship channels prices have been increased , be it flagship or secondary channels broadcasters should not make a-la-carte pricing unattractive to opt for and push people to subscribe their bouquet

Flagship channels SUN tv, SUN movies, Zee Tv, Zee Cinema, SET, Sony Max, Sony Sports1 & 5 are priced Rs.19/- as same as NTO 1.0.

Prices have been increased for channels like And Pictures SD/HD, Sony Pix SD/HD, And Flix, Sony BBC Eath HD, Zee Zest HD, And TV HD, and many more channels. Even other broadcasters too have done such changes.

I can sense that again broadcasters will blame NTO rules for it, they will slowly keep pushing for amendments to suit the strategy which benefits them until a point comes where these NTO rules become more or less replica of Pre NTO regulations barring maybe few things which r not much benefit to subscribers & which broadcasters see as causing no issue to their overall strategy :)

Currently, we are on NTO 1.0, right? Then how is this possible?
