No, you will get the same pack for 1 year if you recharge before any change. You will have to change your pack after 1 year.

There will be changes made in ur pack when New RIO of concerned broadcasters gets implemented. They will simply replace the broadcaster bouquet part of ur DPO pack with new equivalent broadcasters bouquet hence u may get less or more channels depending on that

kalaignar tv network Now become paid network can we expect New Rio from them??

Y star delaying this much to post their new Rio?i think they had more power 💪💪

Ok bro. Pls let us know once you get update from them. It will help us to plan long term recharge before nto 2.0 implementation.

NTO 1.0 had no capping on bouquet discount. That's exactly the reason NTO 2.0 was brought in the first place.

You are wrong Siva Bro. NTO 1.0 had capping of bouquet discount which stood at 33%. You can read the below article or even read the old rules on TRAI website

NTO 2.0 was mainly brought in by Ex Chairman of TRAI bcoz broadcasters were keeping key channels A-La-Carte rates high and combining many low+high rates channel in bouquet and thereby giving these bouquet at highly discounted price.. As the twin condition of "A-La-Carte Price of channel included in bouquet should not be more than two and half times the average price of channels which r included in a bouquet" was struck down by honorable court so more low priced channels were combined with high priced channels in bouquet thus not only customers were being pushed with unnecessary channels but as a result standalone prices of certain key channels remained to be extremely high.
Here are the details of the twin conditions which were brought through amendments in NTO 2.0 but 2nd part of struck down by honorable court

Standalone price cap of Rs. 12 was bought in with the intention of lowering A-La-Carte of these keys channels and avoid exploitation of the earlier price capping of Rs. 19
You can read about it here

Broadcasters want to just complete make NTO rules suited to their liking. Read here

I so miss Mr RN Sharma, Ex Chairman of TRAI as he stood by what was in interest of consumers and took on broadcasters who were trying to just make NTO Rules look consumer unfriendly by hiking prices thereby looking for ways to get amendments to it. Now NTO 2.O rules r again not good for consumers as again we r being pushed to opt for bouquet :(

Just to be clear 45% discount capping applies on bouquet vis a vis sum of price of all a-la-carte channels included in that bouquet. Apart from this there is 35% ceiling on share/incentive which operators will get from pricing of bouquet / channels subscribers by customers
