PlanetRadiocity.com, India’s foremost web radio station launched its first ever regional web radio stream – Radio City Tamil today, July 24, 2013.
An exclusive online music channel featuring the best of Tamil music, the launch of Radio City Tamil packed in a punch. The station was launched by popular music composer D Imman and actor Sivakarthikeyan.
Speaking on the launch, Ms. Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City 91.1 FM, stated, “Radio City has always believed in the power of regional content. While terrestrial serves well to specific regions we operate in, web radio allows us to offer regional content beyond boundaries of city /country. Tamil music is a treasure trove of some of the world’s best compositions. We believe the access to such rich music should not to be restrained by geography. Radio City Tamil is an effort to take Tamil music to music lovers all over the world.”
