Raana is a film which has Rajnikanth in triple roles. Rajnikanth has written the story while K S Ravikumar is penning the screenplay. The works connected with Raana have begun. Colossal historical sets are being erected in A V M Studios
The story of Raana has happened in the 18th century. Major portion of the shooting is to take place in England and European countries. Deepika Padukone and Ileana have been signed to pair with Rajnikanth. Deepika Padukone will be pairing with the younger Rajni. In order to pair with Rajni, Deepika has adjusted her dates in spite of her heavy schedule in Bollywood.
Since this is a historical story, Deepika is learning Bharathanatiyam and Sanskrit. At this point of time a problem has cropped up for Deepika. Recently a photo shoot featuring Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone was held. They were shot in various historical costumes. Rajni seeing the stills was not satisfied. He said that Deepika Padukone’s make up was not satisfactory.
He also mentioned that her long legs and big hips did not suit the role. So he has advised the costume designer and make up man to change her looks and appearance. Now efforts are being taken to change her appearance. If Rajni is not satisfied with her modified appearance, she may likely to be changed. This film is being produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
