whats the license fee for DTH in India

i was told few months back thats its very nominal price
DTH licence is not auction here. So anyone can come and get it. Entry fee is 10 crore, and licensing fee is 10% of gross revenue per year. There is 18% additional GST also. States can impose additional entertainment tax also.

Last 3 years central govt collection only from DTH licence fee was around 2400 crore

10 crore is the entry fee not license fee. Licence fee is 10% of revenue. 10 crore fee is one time payment. If your business revenue is 200 crore for this year then licence fee will be 20 core. For example for the year 2013-14 Tatasky paid licence fee of Rs 383 crore.

For reliance there is much bigger issue. Their main business which is telecom is under severe stress, almost under 60,000 crore debt, banks hv threatened to take over RCom management and gave them time to Dec 2017 to repay, which is why they are unable to pay transponder rent also , then there is fee to broadcasters to get their pay chs. Mobile tower operators like ATC, indus tower , Bharati intratel have started to switch off their tower for RCom as rcom hv not paid mobile tower rent, equipment provider like Ericsson has filed case against them for not paying fee for telecom equipment, tech Mahindra has filed case and stopped giving customer support bcoz they are not paid by RCom , so in a word whole RCom is in a complete mess and needs to streamline their business which is why they should shutdown few business and sell some properties to raise money

Actually it was Mukesh ji who made situation worse for anil by providing free telecom and 4G internet services for whole year under the brand Jio , as a result people stop paying other operators including Anil's RCom thanks to dual sim phones where people can easily use Jio sim
