Are they completely discontinue the COLORS brand in Tamil. Or only Satellite Rights of Colors Tamil from Viacom18.

I mean, will they rebrand Vijay Super SD & HD as Colors Tamil SD & HD

they will have to shut down existing channel. and wait for some months to rebrand vijay super as colors

In my opinion they must merge Star Bharat with Colors and showcase all Star One, LifeOK, Star Bharat show in Colors library in all online platform.
And, merge Colors Rishtey with Star Utsav and make another channel Star Utsav 2 and telecast Star and Viacom18 shows on both Utsav entities.
Resulting Star Plus, Star Plus HD, Colors and Colors HD for original show while Star Utsav and Star Utsav 2 reserve for re-run.

Star Gold is very popular and known brand in television history that's why they must keep this legacy and remove suffix Colors from each channel and add Star Gold with it and it would be better for them to shut few of the non performing assets.

In Hindi speaking market they must keep Colors as regional brand because rural household audience found more attached to it whereas they must think to shut down all south channel not working.
If working, must replace Colors with Star to make the network look more reliable in pack and without any confusion to customers.

Star Gold won’t be closed….. If colors cineplex will be closed then colors may be renamed as Star Gold Cineplex
