Hotstar is preferable than Jio Cinema. App wise, Name wise & Duty wise.

They are planning to close the D+HS due to app agregator/partner tieup(like Tata play binge, Airtel xstream play, ACT, Excitel, BSNL Yupp tv etc) then all D+HS content will be exclusive to Jio users from Day1 and all other network users to buy Jio cinema premium app directly

If D+HS closed it will be huge loss for star network. Everything runs under viacom18/reliance brand.

D+hs content in jio cinema is not a big problem only problem is ui reliance has to make smooth user friendly app same like hotstar otherwise hotstar users will suffers for example in tamil most of people watching serials and show only on hotstar..they don't want to give more promotion for jio cinema hotstar content itself boost the jio cinema to next level ...my wish they have to keep common name that represents both star and viacom18 like jiostar or jio hotstar

Well it would be interesting to see whether properties like ABC, Hulu, FOX etc. transition to Jio or post merger they would exist individually under Hulu umbrella in India.
