what happens to those who have annual packs? do dth operators change channel list of packs already subscribed to?

Yes, Satellite feed through DTH/Cable/iptv is always better than hotstar app's nakli 4k/FHD streaming.

Can't say about South India but we in North India are shifting to DD free dish. 95% of DTH houses in rural areas in North India have DD free dish.

I recently bought DishTV connection & when technician came to allignment my antenna I asked him & he said out of 100 installation I do 90 aprrox. are of DD free dish.

Seeing All India matches are aired free on DD free dish & many channels are coming back to DDFD next month I will definitely buy one DDFD set top box.
 
They may deploy the changes around 12am tonight
