I don't think Star can buy complete yrf's past library because the deal is worth about 500cr only and this amount is not enough to buy the whole, due to the covid-19 Star&yrf deal complete failure now Star wants to recover that amount from yrf's expired library of selected movies.

On what basis r u saying that Star - YRF deal is failure? Just 2 films aired and have got good response. Also 500 Cr (as per news reports) was amount paid only for upcoming few films, now they must have expanded agreement by paying more and acquired old films too. They might get most of the old library if not all

Even Disney/Star Not getting digital rights of Yash Raj films in 500cr deal, so 500cr Deal big for Both Star and YRF, I think deal most probably expanded, hope there is no surprise if Hotstar too inks deal with YRF for entire library in coming years

Those were actually not premieres , movies they telecasted were actually already shown on sony & set Max later sony stopped showing movies & set Max became south dubbed max
