Rights of 75% Malayalam movies releasing as well as 90% of Blockbusters are with Asianet. Can't see such supremacy in any language. About 15 years ago it was a teeth and nail fight between Surya TV. Early times decent competition given by Mazhavil too.
Let's see what will happen after Madhavan's exit.

Surya TV is dead .They do not have any new Malayalam movies and they are rely only on tamil movies.
Zee is choosing low -medium budget movies while others are buying low budget movies.

Still brahmayugam ,The Goat Life , Anweshippin kanthedum are not premiered.

Only Asianet is buying movies .
It is really very bad for Malayalam audiences.

Surya TV just has a bad management. If they won't improve now then gone. Already Asianet Movies overtakes Surya TV. Sun Network as a whole is not focused on Surya TV, doing cost cutting.
Coming to Asianet, it has 3x rating in Kerala compared to 2nd to 5th positions.Obviously every movie would go to them.

Agree bro. Recently ZK focusing on primetime premieres. While Asianet almost every Sunday premieres a movie. Some movies are also premiered on Asianet Movies.

No impact over audiences. Because nobody in Kerala relying on TV premieres like earlier. Even many elder people prefer to watch on OTT. Women & elders became the majority viewers of TV in Kerala.

Except Tamil, the other three languages are poor performing.
