Colors Kannada and star suvarna never expects films to be sold to them by their serial production house.
Best example is Milana puneeth rajkumar movie is produced by Jaimata combines which also produces 3 serials in colors Kannada which are still running they are kulavadu,nammane yuvarani and Lakshmi baramma yet the film rights with zee Kannada.
I think chota champion new season was scrapped and instead for that they have sold rights of movie.

Saaho Telugu satellite rights remain unsold
Despite such massive non-theatrical deals, the makers have failed to convince the Telugu satellite channels. The Telugu satellite rights will only be bought by the channels after seeing the result of the movie as the producers are quoting exorbitant prices.
At a time, the channels are buying satellite rights and digital streaming rights together for every movie, the makers of ‘Saaho’ are not giving them on a bouquet. As Telugu digital streaming rights were already bought by Amazon, the Telugu channels are not ready to pay the huge amount for satellite rights.
The deal will only be closed after the release of the movie.
