so another price hike around the corner for 2 reason after 2-3 month.
1. due to 0.5% ST increased.
2. Ses-9 activation charge.
so be ready, nothing comes free in this world and airtel has high reputation in price hike every now and then

Will Airtel really use Ses 9?

Will airtel use ses 9. Though it is on 108° , but airtel hasnot confirmed to use the satellite. How can we be sure?

yeah thats a doubt but they will forced to used to space issue but the biggest problem is to get approval from governmnet as still Sun Didn't got for measat and tata sky got after 4 years :s

SES now broadcasts eight commercial Ultra HD channels - pearl.tv (Europe’s first commercial UHD channel) and Fashion One 4K (the world’s first global UHD channel), as well as Airtel 4K, Dish UHD Promo, High 4K TV, INSIGHT, NASA TV UHD and UHD-1 - and also signed (in July 2015) a commercial agreement to provide Sky Deutschland with additional capacity for Ultra HD broadcasts.

ya... they ve increased S/R for 5-6 TPs.

So they ve made space for 4-5 HD chnls..

Now if they add HD or some SD chnls, that depends on airtel.

update: Boeing-built #satellite #SES9 for SES sends 1st signals from space.
