But this satellite requires some 6 months or so for fully operational. I read it some where. But how many days will it take for Airtel to get permission from govt for using it is a important factor. But still ADTV interested in adding crap channels in new to is upsetting me.

Unfortunately yes they can as you have to get permission from them to use any satellite(indian or foreign ) from india .

As of now, 4 more TPs wud do.

2 tps for abt 20 odd HD chnl
1 tp for pending regional chnls, say abt 5 for each language.

and 1 tp to neutralize for d excessive compression they are doing on current SD chnls, on existing chnls.

It's the DOS who will decide about using of foreign satellite for our dth operator & without PM's nod no new foreign satellite can be used.
