Here people do not have stable internet speed to download even basic image or article page and u r saying people will download pirated content. Those having internet will watch legally as all of it is free while majority with half baked or no internet will watch on dth or cable. Right now companies r smartly catering to both users and earning from both thru ads or subscription
just dont think from indias perspective.. when things are uploaded then people all around the world will download and watch.....dont forget disney hotstar, Voot or sony liv are not available in all countries they have geo restrictions ....if uploaded its will be downloaded by many... then channel will lose its charm....and one more thing many aged people cant use their simple phone do u think they will be able too use these apps for their entertainment and people who use these apps are young or middle aged people who go out for work/school/college they hardly have an hour or 2 too watch these contents

Ott and TV has its separate audience base. From a perspective of only OTT customer I can say there is no harm in releasing Fresh episodes on OTT platform than the TV. Lot of users now a days shifting to OTT platform for various reason and one reason of them is Ad free shows and when Ott can serve the purpose that is ad free then why not giving fresh episode on ott platform first than TV. I m completely happy the way they are giving OTT more preference.
TV is TV. OTT is OTT. TV audience isn't demanding shows like Sacred Games, Mirzapur. These comes to OTT and stays on OTT. OTT users even get to watch movies like Newton, The Sky is Blue and countless other movies which will never be on tv. You pay money for OTT. So does TV audience. Doesn't they deserve some exclusivity?

Firstly, these content is available free on respective apps across the world wherever broadcaster has presence so there is no issue of piracy.... Where broadcasters r not present there piracy will happen be it thru illegal dth or web and only stringent measures can stop it.... There is no link of content being available on ott with this

As i have said tv, ott will co exist and when internet has vast reach broadcasters will take a call how to maintain balance or take internet or tv exclusive route for concerned chs. About ur last point on youth having little time, this is why ott gains more prominence bcoz of convenience to watch content as per own comfort

OTT has exclusive content bcoz of most of it cannot b aired on tv plus companies need to build good content to attract subscription. On TV this won't work as people not ready to pay more for exclusive content and then there is censorship and other issues too. Basically it is about making content available across mediums and monetise it in best possible way

Just one simple question. Should tv content be spoiler free and does it deserve some exclusivity?

One broadcaster can ruin other's content by giving away spoilers on social media.

Bro, everything has some risk and as i have stated right now there is no major issue of channels losing audience bcoz of ott.

TV Exclusivity can happen when audience is ready to pay more and broadcasters r fine with content remaining restricted to tv but i do not see much merit in this at present. Later on too mass channels will continue and content will b available on both tv and ott.... Changes will happen mostly in sports, infotainment, english entertainment / movies and partly music chs.... PPV model won't work in India, Freemium model is way forward
