MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has acquired the exclusive media rights for all men’s international matches played in Australia, beginning with the Magellan Ashes Series in November 2017.

The term of the deal is six years and will cover multiple Indian tours and visits by Pakistan, South Africa and the Ashes of 2021-22.

Star India was the incumbent rights holder for the property.

Separately, SPN has also acquired the media rights for women’s international cricket played in Australia, beginning with the Commonwealth Bank Ashes later this month, along with the KFC BBL (Big Bash League) and the Rebel WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League).

Wow gud move by spn but if they provide matches in hd feed only then it should be irritating for us.
That might well be the case. Now they have the rights of Aus, WI, SL, SA, Pak (in UAE), Zim (not sure) home matches! May also bag NZ! Every chance of matches scheduled at same time. Don't think they'll use any channels other than Six (HD & SD). Only when there'll be India featuring, they'll telecast same feed in 4 channels (Six HD & SD for English, Ten3 HD & SD for Hindi). How ridiculous is that!
I think from logo creation to match telecast allocations are done by some 10-12 years child!
