Breaking Sony is in talks to buy a stake in Network18

A Bloomberg news report dropped a bombshell last fortnight when it said that two big broadcasting companies, Japanese giant Sony Corp. and Mukesh Ambani-owned Network18 Media and Investments Ltd, are coming together in the Indian market. Later, The Economic Times reported that the two will create a joint venture (JV), in which Sony will have a bigger stake. Till now there has been no official word on the proposed deal from either company.

Yes From some source. It seems ambani's jio is interested in content than to produce one. They may buckle up zee's online content but it seems to much in future. Zee has potential in regional. Sun may seek zee against Viacom and star. But it may not be easy. Finally they see potential buyout of zee in future.

Jio has maintained great relationship with everyone but still jio chose Sony Because where Viacom and Jio lack Sony excels and where Sony lacks Viacom Jio excel.
