Just saw a Sony Liv show advertisement while watching Zee Marathi HD.
Today Zee Marathi has 1 hr special daily soap programming and this ad was seen during its telecast.

have seen sony liv adds even on colors kannada.

and currently i think it has nothing to do with merger. until the company is fully formed.

There's nothing new in it. Even Disney+ Hotstar ads are telecast on competitor channels. Also, independent services like Netflix and Prime Video telecast their ads on all major TV channels.

Even in the south, I think I saw an ad for an aha show on Star Maa (I can't recall it now though). aha is a leading Telugu streaming platform in Ap/TS. So streaming platforms can show their ads on any channel regardless of their ownership.

Could be unrelated to the merger, but the timing is very coincidental. as I have not seen Sony liv ad on Zee before, I think something more than just a ad. Let’s see

This is a normal thing. Only thing which u won't see happening is ad of a channel from particular genre appearing on rival channel of prominent broadcasters which belongs to same genre..... For example Zee TV ads won't be seen on Star Plus or Colors

Only exceptions are the news channels. They can air promo ads of any channel's show.
