Subtitles are available on airtel for Sony Pix HD. It's dish TV which is not providing it!!

I am using Tata Sky and i do get subtitles on Pix HD :tup

Pix HD has subtitles in d2h as well. How can this happen? Normally, subtitle is provided by the broadcaster, isn't it?

Yep.... it is provide by the broadcaster.... but pix hd and sd have same program line-ups.if satellite providers can upload subtitle file for HD feed(same programme) it will be possible.
