Now I think star sports will shut down

Please don't say that ... Star Sports fanboys in this forum can't stand it. The Star Sports Network began naming their channels Star Sports Select IPL.

BCCI won't allow Zee/TEN for IPL and BCCI Media Rights auction, there will be high chance only Sony can participate on Auction

Does it even make sense to take part in auction as seperate entity? It is not same regime in BCCI as a decade ago. Nor is Subash Chandra any longer trying to create an alternative cricketing board. Merger or not. I don't see BCCI stopping Zee from taking part in IPL or BCCI auction.

Zee had no presence in sports anyway. So, I don't think the merger will have any bearing on sports channels.

Sony can benefit by bundling sports channels with Zee's Regional pack.

Not allow means? Zee is merged with Sony. So they are one entity now. They will participate as one entity. For TV rights, i guess ZEEL & SONY, Viacom 18 and Star will participate. For streaming rights, we may see more.

Previous both auctions BCCI not allowed for Zee, I think now things coming better for Zee because BCCI secretary Jay Shah
