Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

What if, Sony Acquiring most of sports Media Rights Agency IPG/ITW itself sold to some other companies. then Sony left with only WWE and Prime volleyball.

They have many local league of their own. They got UFC, UEFA, Bundesliga, Asian Games and England & Wales rights. These are big time events. Apart from Wimbledon. They have rights of most big Tennis tournaments in the world. All they need to do is shut down Sony Ten 4 and Sony Ten 4 HD. Collab with Zee for regional sports. What's the point of merger if not for access to massive regional market?
 
Viacom needs to do proper promotion and also concentrate on in-house rights. They need to get a second channel asap. So that they can air boxing and Bellator without distrubing the scheduling of NBA.
 
So Sony, Disney, Zee, Discovery eurosport not even participated in Women's Indian T20 league Media Rights auction. Viacom18 one man show Vs maybe it's Fancode, without tough competition.

How do u know other companies didnt participate in the auction?

SLC, PCB, UFC, UEFA, Bundesliga Media Rights till this year 2023 and WWE going to sold it's upcoming media Rights in coming months.
