Most probably a pressure tactic. Star India would want to get the notice seen by consumers who would then call Airtel. And after 3 weeks everything back to normal.

And that too will be restricted to few buildings in few cities

In my cities all new residential buildings and colonies have MDU of DTH.

Old colonies also are taking DTH due to poor cable tv services.

Hence I feel this point made by u is correct that Jio may be restricted to many places

Problem is that people/municipality/panchayat will not let Jio dig roads and building so wide spread FTTH will always remain as a dream in India. And wireless 4G signal is unstable so TV broadcast is not possible

Why didn't Government provide a slab that broadcasters can charge to DTH with subsequent increments factored in.For example they can charge between 10-15% with 5% increase every renewal. This may be more complex but this is just an idea where customers will not suffer and both Dth and broadcaster will have to negotiate within the range within a certain timeframe.

No dth license they have bro

Might be lco or ftth :)
Ya I know bro but they have big plans and when they will roll out they will roll out with something futuristic like they did with Volte which even now companies are trying to rollout. So just wait and watch they have already given hint with jiotv which they give free for all subscribers and after many months Airtel followed them. So basically they are trendsetter and atleast I have big expectations from them but also want Airtel to catch them with these innovations as I am using both Airtel and jio. So basically want both to do good and in long run this will benefit customers like us only.:ok::ok:

Problem is that executive and judiciary are powered equal in our constitution. So if Govt passed order broadcasters are free to approach to judiciary to overruled that decision, and that's what they did when TRAI publish channel pricing rule
