Star India to launch second Tamil GEC - Star Vijay 2

Successful Tamil GEC star Vijay ready to expand its shows by offering one more GEC in Tamil TV platform.As per the Hindu Tamil interview with star Vijay general manager Mr.sriram ,the new channel will focus on daily soaps and old programmes of Vijay TV.star India going to invest 200 crores for this channel distribution,and another 330 crores for in house content.Star India likely to avail this channel in all major DTH platform and cable operators across south India from the test launch itself.Official announcement of star Vijay 2 is expected in next two months.

It would be great if they are launching. As per the news shared above they are going to show old programmes as well. Excited on seeing that. I can enjoy lollu sabha, naiyandi tharbar, kadavul patjo mirugam pathi and jee boom ba etc....

Yeah bro after a completion of 15 years in Tamil soil, now only Star India open their mouth about its next channel in Tamil.
Mr.sriram face one question from the Hindu Tamil person that why star India didn't launch another Tamil channel even though it has strong base here?

Mr.sriram replied that for a company like star it doesn't matter to start new channel in a short span,but the reach of the channel,fan base,content and coverage of the channel is very important.so we now planned it is the right time to present new channel for our audience.

last year there was news about launching of Star Vijay HD what happened to that news???

Star Vijay HD is still in the process,expected to launch by mid of 2015

STAR VIJAY PLUS - not Vijay 2..bcz the star and asianet network 2 gec name was add tha plus like ASIANET PLUS-MALAYALAM, SUVARNA PLUS-KANNADA, STAR PLUS..
