When can we expect Star channels on Jio TV app? This is the only good thing that can happen from this merger!

We are also waiting for native play of Star channels in Jio tv+ like Colors HD etc

Disney will never allow that. remeber when jio tv was launched in 2016, all the star channels (part of 21cf) were live available on jio tv app by a link to hotstar. but after disney acquisition from 2019 end, all star tv channels were removed from jio tv

Viacom 18 exist as a shareholding company in Star India. You are establishing 'Disney Star' also exist likewise. No. It's Disney India holds shares in Star. Viacom 18 is a registered company while Disney Star was not. Its just a brand name used for 'Star India private limited ' when it was owned by Disney. 'JioStar' will replace 'DisneyStar' as Reliance & Allies holds more stakes in SIPL. Viacom18 as a brand gone defunct, but the company stays for technical purpose. But 'DisneyStar' can't be done like that as its just a brand name. You are assessing based on the social media handles of Viacom 18 & Disney Star not changed names. But wait timely they will change. Disneystar will disappear while Viacom 18 exist in backstage. Slowly it may also disappear as Viacom went defunct globally.

Now Disney is minor share holder against Jio/Viacom18/RIL, so Ambani can convince them.
