Yes , disney india itself is a different company than disney star.
Disney india operates hungama , and all utv and disney channels in india .
It also had a subsidiary called disney star .

But now it’s different the deal is not just with disney star but entire disney india , thats why they choose to sell hungama.
Its not yet known how disney will distribute its movies.

In a short form disney india now exists as a minority shareholder in jiostar. ( not to get confused with disney international operations employee in india who work for disney and not disney india)
Actually they called Disney Star trademark of SIPL and Disney Brodcasting/UTv combined business in India. But still SIPL entity working separately from Disney's DBIPL/UTv for some reasons.

Between SIPL already merger entity with Star Sports india pvt, Asianet communications, Vijay Television private limited, Maa television network. even before Disney or Reliance partnership.

Who is the head of disney india now
Yet to reveal. Bikram Duggal, Former Studio Head of Disney Star stay with Disney India. Likewise one executive of former Disney Star may chosen. Most probably its Bikram Duggal itself. Don't know what's Madhavan's plan. He could have stay with Disney India. Some sources points that Madhavan will join Zee.

Provide evidence for everything you've said till now. I have been observing for the past few days that you're constantly making arguments instead of a healthy discussion on the topic. And this is raising doubts over the credibility of your statements. So it will be good for you that you either provide sufficient evidence in support of your ’arguments’. Or stop arguing unnecessarily altogether. Period.

Already each of the things i mentioned is proven but unfortunately some members r mixing up different things and coming to wrong conclusion. Please go thru my previous posts and read carefully what i have stated and that shall help u understand how exactly things have shaped up in the merged entity.....when some members r confusing basic fact that Disney-Star and Viacom18 website redirecting to JioStar as disbanding of Disney-Star and Viacom18 while it is just that since both companies have merged operations so JioStar is been chosen as corporate website despite me explaining that numerous times then what can be said,...... also Star India Private Limited is subsidiary company under which media operations / transactions will be carried out and members r wrongly claiming that Disney-Star has been renamed Star India while fact is Star India Private Limited even existed earlier but only Star Network Channels were run under this subsidiary while Disney Kids, Nat Geo channels were operated under different subsidiary company and hence now as part of merger Viacom18 , Jio Cinema , Hotstar assets have also been transferred to Star India Private Limited as all these TV Channels, OTT platforms will be managed under Star India Private Limited company identity and it no way means that Viacom18 , Disney Star company ceases to exist as these still exist but their channels /assets will be run jointly and in the JV Disney holds 37% share while Reliance owns 56%

So request u to please put in some time to try and understand this information rather than telling me that i am augmenting or making baseless claims which is totally false.... Also i am not raising any doubts over anyone's credibility but correcting the wrong information being shared by some members and no member engages in more healthy and productive discussion than me despite many members just poking fun or name calling against me when they lack subject matter to reply to my posts

There is no disney star and thats facts.
I have created below picture to explain the structure.

Viacom18 does exist but will eventually die out once the share swap structure is well defined.
