'JioStar' is like 'Disney Star' & 'Viacom 18'. Colors was not Viacom 18 Colors & Star Plus was not Disney Star Plus.

But they didn't used it advance. Also it took 2 years to form a strategy to convert Star India to Disney Star and assemble UTV & Disney India buisness under it.

As per latest interview with Uday shankar, Star and Colors brands are co-exist like Jio cinema and D+HS OTTs. content sharing will happen.

There are chances to swap Star & Colors brands. But no chance for adding 'JioStar' anywhere. Also its a fact that in regional languages running two brands parallelly is difficult. But as their ad rates are freezed they should have to run like this to grab more revenue. After that there will be integration.
IMO Star brand should be chosen over Colors as its popular than Colors. Only Colors TV needs to be retained.

Shenoy, who took on the ad sales leadership role in July 2024, succeeded Amurtha Nair, former head of entertainment ad sales and strategy at Disney Star.

Why ambani needs to change star to colors ...
