Very strange that after Discontinuation of 2 - 3 SD Channels and 1 Service Channels from the Platform + 1 More Channel Discontinuation from 11th May - still Tata Play find out Band with Issues to not add a Brand New HD Channel from Disney - Star.
The same Excuse running for Every New HD Channels (Sony Ten 4 HD / Sports 18 - 1 HD) that starts within except useless "TN NavBharat HD" which they added on the Launch Day.
Simple Math:-
1 HD Channel = 2 SD Channel
1 SD Channel = 1 SD Channel
So to launch Pravah Pictures in both HD & SD Versions - Bandwidth Space for 3 (2+1) SD Channels Space is required.
Already Tata Play have discontinued 4 SD Channels and from 11th May One More SD Channel will be Dropped from the Platform. So total 5 SD Channels Space is Open as of 15th May timing. So with this Arithmetic Tata Play can easily accommodate 1 HD + 1 SD Channel on the Platform.
So Definitely not a 'Bandwidth Issue' but Some Other Matters ongoing which We are not in Source to Crack. Everytime Signing Up for New RIO is not that Point.
Wrong tym to launch Channel, It would have been better after IPL this Channel would have launched and got more TRP.
During IPL, Even Big Big Directors from Bollywood opt to release their movies due to crowd busy watching IPL.
It would have launch from 26th May with IPL Telecast in Marathi Commentary every Evening which can boost more TRP for the Newly Launched Channel. What kind of Joke to provide Marathi Audio Feed in SS1 Hindi Channel !!!!
Hope at least that local cable operators add it. Very strange and sad that Tata Play is not adding a Star network HD channel. Star Kirano HD and other HD channels are also coming up soon. Maybe Sun Direct will throw us a surprise and add Pravah Picture HD first like it did with Sports18 1 HD!

Now almost Lost the Hope for addition of these Upcoming Channels in DTH :-
1.Star Kirano HD
2.STAR Gold 2 HD
3.Disney HD
As Major DTHs having More & More Surprising Band with Issues.
Henceforth in Upcoming Days "HD Set Top Box" will become a "National Joke" to All Subscribers and More Viewers will Opt for DDFD Mpeg 4 Box instead of these DTHs.
Now when the time of ott era but still ours dth operator prefer to adding sd channel instand of hd channel very very poor condition of dth companies
Absolutely Right Bhai. In recent Times who cares to watch Movies and Sports in SD ? DTH companies should look deep into the Matter or / Subscribers are not so 'Fool' to retain or Subscribe SD Channels where HD Version is available.
GEC / Movies / Sports should be delivered in HD and every DTH should Cater the Same HD Service to the Subscribers instead giving Same Old Furbished Excuse of "Band with Issues".
