Yes They can hold some HD channels launching till IPL end for 4K sports channel, but 4K DTH boxes are very low compare to Smart TVs and Internet/OTT sticks.

I think as SS 4k is going to launched as a Service Channel on DTH. to facilitate the launch/Addition of SS 4K they (Star) may ask DTH operators to drop few service channels for the duration of IPL.

IPL auction delayed live airing 20 to 30 sec on Jio cinema compared with broadcaster. but now they're announced 50 fps looks good and smooth, isn't now slow motion can push live airing to 2 minutes delay on streaming platform ?

No buddy. 50 Hz or 60 Hz do not cause any impact on time taken to stream / broadcast content

One doesn't need to be crorepati to buy a 4k tv, Nowadays 4k tv sets are available at very affordable price. Launch of SS 4k can open new doors (more 4k channels launch may happen).
