Desperation can make people do anything they didn't want before to stay relevant. Do you think we would get IPL in 4K on even streaming platforms leave alone on tv if Hotstar had the digital rights?

Star Sports was better off when it was handled by ESPN. Now the focus is more on glitz and glamour rather than content. I hardly watch any pre/post match shows now. I remember how beautifully they covered the Monkey-Gate incident during India's tour of Australia in 2008. Can't expect the same now.
Speaking of 4K broadcast, it's true that if Star had both digital and TV rights, they wouldn't have bothered for the same. So, it's good they finally have some competition in real sense.

For me it's just 10 seconds delay only as compared to Sports 18 HD in ADTV in English feed.
But More delay in Hindi feed on Jio cinema. (As Compared to Sports 18 HD English)
Don't know about delay in others language.

Few seconds late streaming on Jio Cinema might be intentional action from Viacom18 or some other factors would be causing it but definitely 50Hz or 60 Hz streaming has no role to play in this

Overall after colour editing/production they maintains some seconds delay WPL feeds, Both Sports18 and Jio cinema from same company. Real challenge is IPL for Jio cinema against Star Sports Broadcasting.

But I don't think so Few seconds delay impact Viewing Experience of Users.

Users who are watching on TV have nothing to do with delay in Live app.

& Users who are watching on App is the real time live TV for them.
For Apps it's the same LIVE Content for everyone. Nobody Cares about what going on with Live TV.
