Sun Direct Plus Package Details for West Bengal

Sun Direct Plus is the only DTH Service provider in India to provide maximum Channels at a lesser price. It provides 8 Bangla Channels just within RS 160 p.m.

Tata(Sky providing following Bengali channels in just Rs. 155/- pm

2. Aakaash Bangla

4. STAR Jalsha
5. Sangeet Bangla

9. Zee Bangla
10. Rupashi Bangla

Where is Fox Traveller Bangla in Tata Sky ? It is not available.
Why do we have to purchase separately Star Utsav Bangla ? Why is it not available on South Sports Pack ?
Star Utsav Bangla available on any and every pack of SUN DIRECT PLUS.
Moreover, Sananda TV will be removed soon form Tata Sky. 100% confirmed news.

You did not. I just want to clarify from you whether Fox Traveller Bangla, Star Utsav Bangla available on Tata Sky. I am 100% sure its not available atleast the first one i.e. Fox Traveller Bangla.

Star Utsav Bangla available on Tata Sky... but not part of South Sports pack.
Available as an add-on channel at Rs5/- for South Sports pack subscriber.

Ok. So SUN DIRECT is having one exclusive Bangla Channel compared to Tata Sky thats Fox Traveller Bangla. Moreover Sananda TV is getting removed from all DTHS w.e.f. 7th November 2012. Its getting changed to NVD Sananda TV. Perhaps NVD is not ready to pay high carriage fees charged by the DTHS.

Firstly good compilation. Secondly Sun DTH has only 7 Bengali channels (not including Bengali Feeds).
All other DTH providers have better Bengali channel count (again true Bengali Channels):

Airtel-13
Dish TV-14
RDTV-10
Tata Sky-11
D2H-14+3 (DD Bangla, Kolkata Tv, Tara Muzik available Free for all in East Active)

So it might be cheap but you end up having lesser Bengali channels in Sun, isn't it?

Yes you are right. tech genie. You know why I opted for Sun DTH becasue its monthly package is cheapest. Its North Pack starts form RS 160 p.m. but all other DTHS North Pack starts from RS 200 p.m. except Reliance which is RS 199 p.m. So Sun is the cheapest is it not ? Moreover, Ten Sports & Ten Action these two Sports Channels are available on all base packs starting from RS 160 p.m. Again, their top pack is also quite cheap just RS 289 p.m. where as in D2H its RS 462 p.m. for HD, RS 396 p.m. for SD, Dish 560 p.m. for HD, RS 380 p.m. for SD, Tata RS 410 p.m. for SD, RS 410 + RS 100 = RS 510 for HD, Airtel RS 405 p.m. for SD, HD RS 165 p.m. separate charge. Even Reliance's top SD Pack is RS 402 p.m. + RS 84 extra for HD.
