This type of volume bar on some channels are not new thing its there for a long time.
Its actually because of graphics related problem. When there is any app running on any channel in background (like press red button option on top left side of screen) which require processor resource(specially graphics) leads to less resource for transparency of volume bar so when any app is running behind(i noticed many times its hidden means it loads but no red button option) the transparency of volume bar gone to avoid laggy/slow responding volume bar hence sluggish looking volume bar.

Earlier I reported a audio related bug to TS which they addressed by sending a software update specific to Samsung HD box. I think that took care of this slider issue and sluggishness too... because earlier to that update I also faced sluggishness in response to the remote...

Check here: .

So whats the SW Release number of Samsung STB ? 108 or 110 ?

Thats why i wrote hidden because sometimes in some channels i saw the loading/roatating hourglass icon on top left but no red button after whic result in no shiny volume bar. And i dont think blaming it to mp4 migration is good because migration didn't started few months back and these volume bar changes simultaneously on many channels only 2or 3 weeks back.

Maybe but it make no sense as h.264 is just video compression technology which is applied to each channel separately and volume bar problem is not specific to mpeg4 channels or mpeg2 channels also at one time stb decrypts and decompress only one channel per tuner.
