I anticipated the same. They will probably launch another new box with Android 10.
This generally happens due to planned obsolescence by the service providers. No one will buy their new products if the legacy ones are still updated to latest standards. Exactly the way the other operator did.

I don't think android 10 will solve all the issues...
This hybrid boxes doesn't have quality hardware..
By only giving android 10 update doesn't make any drastic changes...
