According to TRAI NTO 2, Multi TV NCF not to exceed 40% of declared NCF
In Tata Play case, NCF is 153, so Multi TV NCF should be less then 61.2 ruppees
How they can increase NCF to 90 ruppees?

TRAI had amended the tariff order for the 4th time. This time, the changes are significant as well. In summary, below are the changes
- Removal of NCF cap for the service providers
- Discounts in the channels part of the DPO bouquets up to 45%
- If a pay channel is available for free on any DPO, the broadcaster must declare the channel as FTA to level the playing field
- No carriage fee distinction between HD and SD channels to recognize the increased penetration of HD television sets
- Single ceiling for carriage fee
- Prescription of charges for service visits, activation...

Yes they have done it illegally as the clause comes into effect only after 90 days of gazette publication. September 19th is almost 20 days earlier than that.Still waiting for someone to clear doubts. I missed something or Tata Play did this illigally?

.....also as u must be knowing companies evaluate upon such things and check if by making certain changes what pros or cons r likely to be seen thereafter for things which seem feasible / beneficial for both customers as well as company they implement these in a gradual manner hence it takes time..... do you remember these words, thambiStill no other operator has increased NCF,,some members were saying that soon others will hike NCF pricing too and i had said that time too that Tata Play is looking at increasing revenue by taking such steps so as to decrease losses....earlier they had taken some more of such decisions too
