Wrong buddy...... If suppose the DPO bouquet subscribed by u had Sony's mid level broadcaster bouquet being part of it and it costs Rs. 38 then this will be the reduction in pricing of concerned DPO Bouquet applicable post deletion of Sony chs....... It is not like sum of A La Carte prices of all Sony channels part of the DPO Bouquets will be reduced from the monthly charges

Also as members r reporting that NCF has been increased post reduction applicable in pricing of DPO Bouquets so savings become almost nill
Removing Sony Channels and then inceasing NCF is ridiculous from Tata.

TataPlay playing safe sided game with smartly. Now the latest trai rules will also implement soon. So they are trying to loot whatever they can now.

Now their advantage is customer base and their satellite space. So Tata is playing with people and broadcasters.

Firstly tata softwares are well capable to change / update the packs for all customers at a same time. Previously never had this kind of excuse when NTO changes. ( Phase wise manner update is they are getting more time to get feedback from tier basis and they didn’t touch the lower end pack users yet)

Secondly they had most of the contracts are renewed with broadcasters. So they are keep update their packs price with / without channel added in pack. ( Because they have less time to getback their losses and grab more money before the next contract renewal).

Note: My Assumption Only( No Proof )

Correct, after TRAI's recent amendments in NTO, MRP of Rs.130/- will be removed for NCF, so top DTH TP & ADTV can easily increase NCF to Rs.200/- in future.

The Company's Managing Director and CEO 'Harit Nagpal' Said That : Considering The Convenience We Provide, We Wanted to Experiment With Shutting Down The Channel With The LOWEST NUMBER Of VIEWERS (Sony Pictures Network India)

And This Will Reduce Customers' BILLS.

lot of people have already moved on from DTH providers to OTT & Free Dish, Dont think Any DTH provider will have the guts to increase NCF to 200 or 300 otherwise remaining viewers will also switch and Dish antennas and set top box will be found in the Garbage.

Dont worry, Pay tv fans/old guys can prepare to pay upto 500/- pm at anytime

Is there a possibility that the Sony channels vanish from Tata Play one day?
Given my recent struggles with Airtel, I'm looking to move to Tata Play, but if Sony channels are set to vanish it will be a blocker for me.
